About the event
Zach Connolly is a dynamic jazz vocalist hailing from Greentown, IN, who has been captivating audiences across the Portland metropolitan area since 2018. With a soulful voice and captivating stage presence, Zach has spent time making music with local musicians at various locations around Portland, including The 1905, Wilf's, and The Underground, and has also made appearances at the Cathedral Jazz Festival. Zach's love of music started at an early age, and he was drawn to the sounds of jazz as he grew older. He credits legendary artists like Chet Baker, Nat King Cole, Sarah Vaughan, Kurt Elling, and Mark Murphy as some of his biggest inspirations. He is a former student of Vocal Jazz performance at Portland State University, where he studied under the guidance of renowned jazz musicians including Sherry Alves, Darrell Grant, and George Colligan.
